Lending a hand
From The Gazette's "Faces & Places"
October 5, 2005
Melinda Estridge & The Estridge Group of Long & Foster recently supported the victims of Hurricane Katrina by delivering much-needed supplies to Jackson, Miss.
Estridge solicited donations from her group, as well as other agents and staff at the Bethesda Gateway office of Long & Foster, then purchased some of the most-needed items and had them delivered in her moving truck to Jackson. The reception from the people in Jackson who received the truckload of supplies was overwhelming.
Estridge has been in real estate for more than 25 years and regularly donates to many worthy charitable causes.

Melinda Estridge of Long & Foster supported the third annual neighborhood clean-up day in the Maplewood-Alta Vista neighborhood this month by organizing “Dumpster Day.”
Estridge personally invited all Maplewood/Alta Vista residents to clean out their garages, attics and basements by providing them with centrally located, 40 cubic yard dumpster. The dumpster was dropped off on Saturday morning, May 9th, and filled less than four hours, despite the rain.
Estridge has specialized in selling homes in the Bethesda area for over 20 years. She frequently sponsors neighborhood activities to promote a sense of community.

Long & Foster's Estridge Attends Annual Event
Montgomery County (November 3, 1995)—Melinda Estridge, Long & Foster's Gold Team President and a top producer with Long & Foster's Bethesda/Hampden Square office, recently attended the firm’s annual Top Producer’s Retreat to Cancun, Mexico along with nearly 400 of the firm’s "Gold Team" Members and their guests. Long & Foster recognizes the success of their more than 2,500 multi-million-dollar producers through the membership in one of five production clubs, the top three of which are called the company's Gold Team. Those associates' production is more than $3 million in sales volume per year. The annual retreat was hosted by P. Wesley Foster, Jr., president of Long & Foster.
"Although our company continues to grow, we're really like family and the annual retreat allows the sales associates an opportunity to relax and get to know each other through networking as well as exchanging ideas with other Long & Foster top producers outside of their market area in a relaxed environment," said Jack Queen, Executive Vice President of Long & Foster and the Gold Team Director. This is just one of several events held annually for these hard-working sales professionals who have worked to ensure the company’s continued success in the ever changing environment.
